Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have conveyed their condolences on the death of former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji, emphasizing the loss of a valued friend to Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari expressed his condolences to China’s leadership and citizens, highlighting the strong friendship between the two nations. He noted that Premier Zhu’s efforts in strengthening the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China would be remembered.
Prime Minister Sharif, in a message on social media platform X, echoed similar sentiments, acknowledging the shared grief with China, referred to as Pakistan’s “iron brother,” during this time.
