Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep grief over the passing of former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji. Extending condolences, President Zardari acknowledged Premier Zhu as a valuable friend to Pakistan, emphasizing the loss felt by both nations.

According to Press Information Department, President Zardari conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the leadership and people of China, referring to them as Pakistan’s “Iron Brother.” He highlighted Premier Zhu’s role in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, noting that his contributions will be remembered. President Zardari also expressed solidarity with Chinese President Xi Jinping and offered condolences to Zhu’s family, sharing in their grief during this time.
