KARACHI: Pakistan’s textile industry has emerged as a significant contributor to the national economy, demonstrating robust growth in both production and exports. The sector’s expansion highlights its pivotal role in Pakistan’s economic landscape.
According to Radio Pakistan, textile exports reached $17.93 billion in the last fiscal year, marking an increase of $40 million. This upward trajectory continued in the current fiscal year, with textile and apparel exports rising by 5.55 percent to $3.38 billion during the first two months. The industry’s performance underscores its importance in sustaining economic stability and enhancing export revenues for Pakistan.
