Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem conducted a visit to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Headquarters, where he was briefed on the current counter-terrorism strategies, ongoing district operations, and security protocols at sensitive sites.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the briefing provided to DIG Islamabad included an overview of the CTD’s performance and various professional matters. DIG Waseem called for further strengthening of counter-terrorism measures, enhancement of operations against terrorism and crime, and improved coordination among relevant departments.
During his visit, DIG Waseem met with senior CTD command to discuss professional matters, the security situation, and ongoing operations. He emphasized the need for heightened professional capabilities among officers and the continuation of regular training activities. He highlighted that modern training, high preparedness, effective coordination, and timely responses are crucial for combating terrorism effectively.
DIG Waseem directed the CTD to bolster counter-terrorism efforts to safeguard citizens and maintain law and order in Islamabad. He underscored the importance of effective coordination among officers and departments, timely information exchange, and a coordinated strategy to address security challenges.
