DUBAI: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai hosted an awareness session to promote the Pasban Remittance Rewards Scheme, a new initiative encouraging overseas Pakistanis to utilize formal banking channels for remittances. The scheme promises Rs16 billion in annual cash prizes to beneficiaries receiving funds through these channels.

According to Press Information Department, the National Bank of Pakistan’s UAE team provided a detailed briefing on the scheme’s benefits, which include significant cash rewards. The session featured an official awareness video and an interactive Q&A segment to engage participants.

H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General, praised the National Bank of Pakistan for its role in raising awareness about the scheme, highlighting the critical contributions of overseas Pakistanis to the country’s economy. He urged the Pakistani community in the UAE to use formal banking channels for remittances to ensure their beneficiaries in Pakistan can access the scheme’s benefits.

The event concluded with the distribution of informational materials and a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate the scheme’s launch.
