Honesty and Integrity Highlighted as Key Virtues for Public Officers


ISLAMABAD: Honesty and integrity were underscored as essential virtues for public officers by Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, Secretary, Establishment Division, during his address at the 47th Mid-Career Management Course’s passing-out ceremony at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) in Islamabad. The Secretary emphasized the crucial role these virtues play in effective public service and urged officers to maintain professionalism and commitment in their duties.



According to Press Information Department, Barrister Awan, serving as the Chief Guest, highlighted the significance of ethical conduct and responsibility in strengthening public institutions and enhancing service delivery. Certificates were distributed to 44 officers who successfully completed the course, marking a significant step in their careers.



Director General NIPA Islamabad, Mr. Asim Iqbal, commended the officers on their achievements, noting the course’s role in equipping them with necessary leadership and managerial skills for senior roles. He encouraged them to apply their learning to improve public service. Present at the event were Syed Moazzam Ali, Rector of the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Mr. Ejaz Bajwa, Chief Instructor, and other faculty members.



The Mid-Career Management Course is designed to enhance the professional capabilities, leadership skills, and managerial competencies of public sector officers, thereby enabling them to contribute effectively to good governance and institutional strengthening.
