Islamabad: Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of the attack by the Houthi militia on the Taibah power distribution station in Madinah. According to Radio Pakistan, Foreign Office Spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan described the assault on the civilian infrastructure, which supplies electricity to the Holy Prophet’s Mosque, as a significant provocation and a source of deep concern for millions of Muslims around the world.
In his statement, Khan emphasized the importance of respecting the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques and ensuring the safety of worshippers and pilgrims under all circumstances. He called for an immediate cessation of such actions, which pose a grave threat to regional peace and security.
Khan reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing full support for its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security. He affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to standing with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to safeguard the Two Holy Mosques, protect its citizens, and ensure the safety of pilgrims. Khan also highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
