Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue of Pakistan, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with the Belarusian Energy Minister, H.E. Mr. Denis Moroz, to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral economic relations. The meeting, which took place with a high-level delegation from Belarus, focused on trade, investment, and strengthening economic cooperation between the two nations.

According to Press Information Department, the Finance Minister welcomed the delegation from Belarus and emphasized the value of expanding commercial ties and investment flows. He pointed to the importance of ongoing engagement and the potential for broadening consultations to further economic collaboration. Discussions included industrial cooperation, agriculture, education, and culture, with the Belarusian delegation showcasing efforts to advance partnerships in these sectors.

Senator Aurangzeb reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to working with Belarus to achieve tangible results from their engagement and to bolster cooperation in areas of shared interest. Mr. Denis Moroz expressed appreciation for the support and optimism that continued coordination between the countries’ institutions would enhance bilateral trade, investment, and economic ties.

The meeting included the Secretary of Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, members of the Belarusian delegation, and senior officials from the Finance Division. Notable attendees from Belarus were Mr. Andrei Metelitsa, the Ambassador to Pakistan; Mr. Viktor Shchetko, First Deputy Minister of Industry; Mr. Andrei Prokopchuk, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Mr. Viktor Nikitin from the National Bank of Belarus.
