Islamabad: The U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad to discuss bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions highlighted the positive trajectory in Pakistan-U.S. relations, with both officials emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for achieving lasting peace. Deputy Prime Minister Dar reiterated the significance of implementing the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated June 18, underscoring it as a crucial step forward.
Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace and security while maintaining its national interests. In response, the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional stability and extended congratulations to the Deputy Prime Minister on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
