Islamabad: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, have extended their congratulations to Pakistan on the occasion of its Independence Day. Both leaders conveyed their best wishes to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasizing hopes for peace and prosperity for the people of Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Putin highlighted the ongoing productive cooperation between Russia and Pakistan across various sectors, including political, trade, economic, and humanitarian areas. He also noted the collaboration on significant regional and global issues, expressing confidence that the bilateral partnership between the two countries would continue to grow in the mutual interests of their peoples.
In a similar gesture, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, sent congratulatory cables to both Pakistani leaders, joining in the celebration of Pakistan’s independence.
