Islamabad: The Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan met with Justice Martin Griffiths of the High Court of England and Wales to discuss potential collaboration between Pakistan and UK judicial and legal institutions. The discussions focused on professional development for judges and the bar.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting was attended by notable figures from Pakistan’s legal community, including Supreme Court judges and representatives from the Federal Judicial Academy and the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan. Topics included judicial training, professional development, and capacity building. The discussion also considered structured collaboration between the Federal Judicial Academy and the Judicial College of England and Wales for judicial education.
The meeting further explored opportunities for collaboration between the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and Pakistan’s legal profession, particularly in advocacy training and continuing legal education. The Chief Justice expressed hope that these discussions would lead to sustained cooperation in judicial education and professional capacity building.
