Islamabad, The latest weather forecast indicates a westerly wave affecting the upper parts of Pakistan. Thursday is expected to see rain and thunderstorms, along with light snowfall over the hills in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. Light rain and drizzle are also anticipated in the Potohar region, including Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Friday’s forecast predicts mainly cold and dry weather across most of the country, with fog and smog likely in the morning hours in the plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.
According to National Weather Forecasting Centre – Islamabad, the past 24 hours have seen cold and dry conditions prevailing over most parts of the country. The lowest recorded temperatures included Leh at -06°C, Skardu at -03°C, and Kalam and Gupis at -01°C.
