ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to enhance security and suppress criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have intensified search and combing operations across the federal capital, checking over 507 individuals, according to a recent press release.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were carried out under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. Supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by respective zonal SPs, the operations aimed to crack down on criminal elements.
During the intensified operations, law enforcement officials checked 254 households, 20 hotels, 70 shops, 239 motorcycles, and 124 vehicles. The police also detained 19 suspicious individuals and 26 motorcycles for further verification at the police station.
SSP Operations Islamabad noted that the purpose of these operations is to tighten security measures and further enhance the safety of the city. The operations are part of ongoing efforts to target criminal elements, including land grabbers and drug dealers, throughout the district.
