Islamabad Police Arrest 26 Suspects, Recover Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: In a series of operations, Islamabad Police have apprehended 26 individuals suspected of criminal activities, recovering significant quantities of drugs and weapons in the process. The arrests are part of a broader effort to maintain safety and order in the capital.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, 24 individuals were detained for involvement in various crimes, with authorities seizing 1,460 grams of hashish, 1,325 grams of the drug Ice, 67 bottles of liquor, one dagger, a gun, and 11 pistols with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects as investigations continue. Additionally, during a targeted campaign to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams successfully arrested two more individuals.



Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has directed the ongoing crackdown aimed at curbing criminal activities and ensuring public safety. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the force’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of residents, emphasizing that preserving public peace is a top priority.



The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” The police stress that collaborative efforts between law enforcement and the community are essential in combatting crime effectively.
