ISLAMABAD: In a comprehensive move to maintain traffic flow and ensure compliance with traffic regulations, the Islamabad Traffic Police have launched an intensified crackdown on illegal parking throughout the city. The initiative, prompted by directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aims to improve the organized traffic system across the federal capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, special teams have been established to monitor and address violations of no-parking rules, with a focus on shopping malls, markets, commercial centers, and major roads. Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, Kainat Azhar Khan, has directed zonal Deputy Superintendents of Police to enforce traffic laws rigorously and take action against those obstructing traffic flow, particularly in areas designated for commercial purposes.
The Chief Traffic Officer emphasized that footpaths must remain clear for pedestrians, and no parking or obstruction will be tolerated. Efforts are underway to provide citizens with necessary facilities in commercial areas, and the public is encouraged to cooperate with the police by adhering to traffic rules to ensure an organized traffic system in Islamabad.
