President Alvi Affirms Pakistan’s Support for Peaceful Resolution of Palestine Issue


Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi has reiterated Pakistan’s firm support for a just and peaceful resolution of the Palestine issue, advocating for the two-state solution. This stance was expressed in a meeting with Imam Khatib Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Humaid in Islamabad. President Alvi highlighted the need for the global community to acknowledge the plight of Palestinians and to take action against Israeli atrocities in Gaza, which have resulted in the deaths of thousands, including women and children.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Alvi expressed gratitude towards Saudi Arabia for its economic support to Pakistan, especially in challenging times, and for its humanitarian aid and contributions to development projects in education and healthcare. He also brought attention to the issue of Islamophobia, particularly in India, and the atrocities committed by India against the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He accused India of changing the demography of IIOJK and engaging in the ethnic cleansing of Muslims.



Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Humaid echoed the sentiment for supporting the rights of Palestinians based on the two-state solution and called for united efforts by the Muslim world to halt the violence and atrocities in Palestine and provide humanitarian and diplomatic support. He expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended by the Government of Pakistan. Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy was also present during the meeting.
