PM Calls on Media to Boost Awareness on Smuggling and Power Theft


Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar has called on the media to play a more active role in raising public awareness about the prevention of smuggling, power theft, and other issues that affect the common man. The Prime Minister emphasized the media’s integral role in ensuring good governance and public awareness during a meeting with a delegation from the All Pakistan Newspaper Society in Islamabad.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Kakar highlighted the media as the fourth pillar of the state, crucial for the development of society and the mental and intellectual training of people. He pointed out that the media could significantly contribute to communicating the importance of the economic stabilization strategy under the Special Investment Facility Council to the public. The Prime Minister also assured the government’s full cooperation in addressing the challenges faced by the newspaper industry, recognizing the vital role of media in a democratic society.
