Planning Minister Urges Expansion of Pakistan’s Exports for Economic Stability


Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized the importance of boosting Pakistan’s exports as a crucial step towards achieving economic stability, self-reliance, and sustainable development. He made these remarks during a policy dialogue organized by the Planning Commission in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, the dialogue focused on strategies to enhance Pakistan’s automotive exports and contribute to the country’s ambitious export target of $63 billion under the URAAN Pakistan initiative. The Minister called on the private sector to lead efforts in advancing Pakistan’s export agenda and highlighted the necessity of expanding the country’s presence in global markets.



Ahsan Iqbal also advocated for enhanced collaboration between the government and the private sector, suggesting that joint efforts are needed to identify new export opportunities, eliminate obstacles, and establish clear priorities for export-driven growth.
