ISLAMABAD: An overwhelming majority of Pakistani parents regard education as a crucial factor for success, according to a recent survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan. The survey revealed that 92% of parents completely agree that education plays a very important role in achieving success, with strong agreement noted particularly among women and rural parents.
According to the press release from Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, these findings are part of their ongoing series on ‘Understanding the School Landscape in Pakistan’. The survey, which included a nationally representative sample of 1,415 married men and women from both urban and rural areas across all four provinces of Pakistan, was conducted between March 18 and March 31, 2026. The results highlight a near-universal belief in the value of education, with only 1% of respondents somewhat disagreeing and less than 1% completely disagreeing.
The survey’s methodology involved telephonic surveys (CATI), and the results come with an error margin of approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level. This strong consensus across demographic groups underscores the importance placed on education in shaping the future success of children in Pakistan.
