Pakistani Consulate in Dubai Hosts Independence Day Celebration with Flag-Hoisting Ceremony


Dubai: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai marked the 79th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence with a flag-hoisting ceremony attended by a large number of Pakistani community members, consulate officials, and other guests. The event highlighted national pride and unity.



According to Press Information Department, Acting Consul General Fawad Ali Khan addressed the gathering, extending congratulations to the community on Independence Day. He emphasized the significance of August 14 as a symbol of freedom and national identity. Mr. Khan paid tribute to the struggle and sacrifices that led to Pakistan’s creation under Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s leadership, acknowledging the contributions of Pakistanis in the UAE to both countries’ development and economy.



The ceremony included an art exhibition in collaboration with Parallel Palette, showcasing works by Pakistani artists inspired by Jinnah’s ideals. Mr. Khan expressed gratitude to the artists and the organization, highlighting the exhibition as a tribute to Jinnah during the “Year of Quaid-e-Azam.” He concluded by honoring the nation’s martyrs and urging commitment to Pakistan’s service and values. The event ended with prayers for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity.
