Pakistan Navy to Launch Exercise Sea Guard-II to Test Maritime Security Measures


Karachi: Pakistan Navy has announced plans to conduct Exercise Sea Guard 2025 Edition II from the 24th to the 28th of this month, aiming to assess current security procedures within the nation’s maritime region.



According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the exercise will involve collaboration among numerous stakeholders to evaluate and strengthen maritime security measures. Commander Coast, Rear Admiral Faisal Amin, emphasized the strategic importance of Pakistan’s coastal belt, which is rich in natural resources and faces challenges such as illegal fishing, narcotics smuggling, human trafficking, and climate change.



The Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Center, established in 2013, serves as a central platform for coordinating efforts among various stakeholders. Rear Admiral Amin noted that the previous edition of the exercise, Sea Guard 2024, saw participation from over fifty stakeholders, reflecting their confidence in the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime security.



Rear Admiral Amin expressed confidence that the upcoming exercise will enhance joint operational capabilities and address the evolving challenges in the maritime domain.
