Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have called on Scouts across the nation to commit themselves to serving Pakistan. Their messages were conveyed during the observance of World Scout Day, emphasizing the pivotal role Scouts play in national development.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari urged Scouts to spearhead initiatives such as tree-planting campaigns, literacy promotion, and social welfare projects. He highlighted the importance of cultivating leadership and learning skills among young Scouts to transform them into responsible citizens dedicated to the nation’s progress.
Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the critical role of Scouts during both peaceful times and crises. He advocated for the implementation of programs that stimulate young minds, build character, and encourage initiative. He pointed to initiatives like Messengers of Peace as effective platforms for Scouts to foster unity and create a positive social impact, urging them to become proactive global citizens.
