Pakistan Increases Rice Exports to Malaysia Following Prime Minister’s Directive


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has finalized arrangements to increase its rice exports to Malaysia, following directives from Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the efforts of relevant ministries and officials. This development will see an additional seventy thousand metric tons of Pakistani rice exported to Malaysia between October and December this year.



According to Radio Pakistan, the increase in exports was secured through effective diplomatic and trade efforts in line with the Prime Minister’s directives. A statement released by the Prime Minister’s office noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed appreciation for the team’s efforts in achieving the additional export target.



The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the additional rice exports for the prosperity of farmers and the national economy. He emphasized that expanding access to international markets for Pakistani agricultural commodities remains a top priority for the government. The Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan will continue its pursuit of export-led economic growth through sustained efforts.
