Pakistan Celebrates Independence Day Amidst New Defense Pact with Saudi Arabia and Türkiye

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, announced that the nation is celebrating its Independence Day alongside the recent signing of a joint defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Türkiye. The agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening military cooperation among the three countries.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Fazal Chaudhry made these remarks during an Independence Day ceremony held in Islamabad. He highlighted the importance of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, describing it as a noteworthy achievement for the Muslim world. He also stated that Pakistan’s armed forces had emerged victorious against India in the historical battle of Marka-e-Haq.

Addressing the current political climate, Dr. Fazal Chaudhry reiterated the government’s commitment to respecting the political and constitutional rights of opposition parties. However, he emphasized that violent demonstrations would not be tolerated, underscoring the need for maintaining law and order in the country.
