Islamabad Police Intensify Search Operations, Over 372 Individuals Checked


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and target criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have ramped up search and combing operations across various areas of the federal capital. The operations, initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, resulted in extensive checks of individuals, households, shops, and vehicles.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by respective zonal SPs. As part of the initiative, a total of 372 individuals, along with 164 households, 50 shops, 10 hotels, 226 motorcycles, and 55 vehicles, were thoroughly inspected. During the operations, 15 individuals, 24 motorcycles, and two vehicles were taken to the police station for further verification.



The police also reported the arrest of individuals involved in the possession of illegal weapons, recovering two pistols of various calibers and ammunition. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that these operations aim to tighten security and suppress criminal activities citywide. The Islamabad Police remain committed to taking decisive action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers throughout the district.
