Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his congratulations to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, along with the government and citizens of Indonesia, on the occasion of their Independence Day. In a formal letter, President Zardari acknowledged the significance of this day, highlighting the determination and efforts of Indonesia’s founding fathers in their pursuit of independence.

According to Press Information Department, President Zardari emphasized the strong and friendly relations between Pakistan and Indonesia. He noted that the two countries have built a partnership based on a shared history and mutual trust, which has facilitated cooperation in various sectors such as trade, investment, defense, health, and education. President Zardari also mentioned the ongoing people-to-people exchanges between the nations.
