ISLAMABAD: As part of an intensified effort to curb crime in the capital, the Islamabad Police conducted comprehensive search and combing operations across various areas, resulting in the checking of over 457 individuals. This initiative follows the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at cracking down on criminal elements.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight provided by the respective zonal SPs. During the operations, 158 households, 18 shops, five hotels, 325 motorcycles, and 78 vehicles were thoroughly examined. In addition, two suspicious individuals and 31 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.

The operations also led to the arrest of individuals found in possession of illegal weapons, with the recovery of two pistols of different calibers along with ammunition. SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the purpose of these operations is to clamp down on criminal activities and enhance security across the city. The police are conducting similar operations throughout the district, maintaining their stance on taking decisive action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
