ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, has directed a renewed focus on combating crime in the city, with specific instructions to the Anti-Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) and the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Unit (AVLU) to enhance their efforts. The directive came following a crucial meeting with unit officers to evaluate ongoing crime-fighting strategies and enhance the efficacy of field operations.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting was attended by DSP ARDU Suleman Shah, In-charge AVLU Inspector Noor Ullah, and other investigating officers. The SSP received comprehensive briefings on the performance of the units, measures for crime prevention, and the status of cases under investigation.

Discussions centered on decisive actions against criminal activities, apprehending wanted offenders, recovering stolen vehicles, and leveraging modern technology for investigations. Officers were instructed to expedite case resolutions, ensuring adherence to legal procedures and evidence.

The SSP emphasized the need for intensified field operations and investigative efforts to safeguard citizens’ lives and property. He underscored the importance of utilizing available resources and technology effectively for identifying and capturing offenders.

Officers were also tasked with maintaining stringent oversight of investigations, enhancing the quality and speed of their work, and sustaining effective policing momentum. SSP Raza reaffirmed the priority of protecting citizens and preventing crime, asserting that proactive measures against criminal elements will persist.
