ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested 12 individuals suspected of criminal activities, recovering drugs, liquor, and weapons during the operations. The arrests are part of a broader effort to maintain peace in the federal capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, law enforcement teams detained 10 suspects involved in various crimes, confiscating 240 grams of ice, 10 bottles of liquor, and seven weapons with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against the apprehended individuals, and investigations are proceeding.
In a parallel initiative targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, specialized police units captured two additional suspects. The operations follow directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has emphasized a stringent crackdown on crime to ensure safety and order in the city.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s dedication to safeguarding citizens and maintaining public order, underscoring that no disruption of peace will be tolerated. The police have also called on residents to report suspicious activities via local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster collaborative crime prevention efforts.
