Islamabad Police Conduct Citywide Search Operations, Over 431 Individuals Checked


ISLAMABAD: Over 431 individuals were scrutinized during extensive citywide search operations conducted by the Islamabad Police as part of an effort to curb crime and address criminal activities in the capital. This initiative came following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by respective zonal SPs. A comprehensive approach was taken during these operations, with checks performed on 174 households, 48 shops, eight hotels, 205 motorcycles, and 92 vehicles. Two suspicious individuals, along with 26 motorcycles, were transferred to the police station for further verification. Moreover, those found in possession of illegal weapons were apprehended, with two pistols and related ammunition recovered.



SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the operations’ intent to tighten security and combat criminal activities across the city. The police continue their efforts across various districts, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
