Islamabad Police Arrest Five in Ongoing “No to Weapon” Campaign


Islamabad: In a focused effort to curb illegal weapon use, the Islamabad Police have arrested five individuals for their involvement in aerial firing as part of the “No to Weapon” campaign. This initiative is a continuation of a strategic crackdown launched under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Aabpara and Karachi Company Police Stations were instrumental in these recent arrests. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects as part of the ongoing campaign aimed at deterring illegal weapon possession and usage in the city.



Senior Superintendent of Police Operations in Islamabad emphasized the commitment to strict enforcement against weapons-related offenses. He underscored the importance of maintaining public safety and stated that the law will be upheld firmly to prevent any threats to citizens’ safety. Additionally, he urged parents to take an active role in supervising their children’s activities to prevent involvement in criminal acts, highlighting the potential long-term impacts on youths’ futures.
