Islamabad: In an extensive crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police arrested 43 individuals and confiscated drugs and weapons, as announced in a recent press release. The operations resulted in the recovery of 613 grams of heroin, 380 grams of Ice, 39 bottles of liquor, one Kalashnikov, one gun, and 13 pistols with ammunition. Legal cases have been registered, and investigations are in progress.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were part of a broader initiative led by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at maintaining peace in the federal capital. A special campaign also resulted in the arrest of 24 proclaimed offenders and absconders. SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding citizens and the ongoing efforts under the “No to Weapons” campaign to combat illegal arms possession and ensure public safety.
Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local authorities or the emergency helpline “Pukar-15” to aid in the collective effort to eradicate crime in the city.
