ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has instructed relevant authorities to ensure timely and coordinated actions for the effective execution of development projects. This directive was issued during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council, which Dar chaired in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the prompt completion of these projects is crucial for maintaining momentum in the government’s agenda for economic development and improved connectivity. The meeting addressed a comprehensive agenda of development projects, such as the construction of the Khwazakhela-Besham Expressway, improvements in electricity distribution efficiency for LESCO, HESCO, and PESCO, the Tarbela 5th Extension Hydropower Project, the Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation Project, and the Fulbright Scholarship Support Programme, along with various water, connectivity, and infrastructure projects.
The Executive Committee also reviewed revised project proposals and assessed ongoing development projects to ensure their timely implementation and the efficient use of development resources.
