IGP Islamabad Hosts Public Forum to Address Grievances


ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi conducted a Khuli Katchery at the Central Police Office, Islamabad, to address public grievances and police-related issues, providing on-the-spot resolutions and reinforcing the police’s commitment to service.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the event allowed citizens and police officials to voice their concerns directly to the IGP, who issued immediate instructions to senior officers for a swift resolution. Emphasizing the importance of merit-based problem-solving, IGP Rizvi reiterated that negligence or dereliction of duty would not be tolerated. He encouraged citizens to participate in such forums, ensuring them that his office remains accessible for addressing their issues.



IGP Rizvi also directed officers to handle grievances within a specified timeframe and submit compliance reports to the Central Police Office. He emphasized the need for all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to adhere to designated office hours, prioritizing the timely resolution of complaints. The IGP noted that the Islamabad Police is implementing initiatives to better serve the public, with daily Khuli Katchery sessions ensuring the prompt handling of grievances.
