Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi recently chaired a meeting to evaluate the crime prevention strategies, case investigations, and overall policing activities in the federal capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting was attended by senior police officials including DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Security Operations Salman Zafar, and SP Soan Zone Muhammad Khurram Ashraf. These officials provided a comprehensive briefing to IGP Islamabad on the current crime landscape, the investigation processes in place, and ongoing efforts to combat criminal activities.
IGP Rizvi instructed the officers to enhance field policing efforts to deter criminal actions, ensure prompt and thorough investigations, and take decisive actions against offenders. He emphasized the importance of utilizing existing resources and modern technology effectively to detect crimes and apprehend suspects swiftly, while ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
The police chief made it clear that any lapse in delivering timely and quality police services would not be tolerated. He reaffirmed the commitment of Islamabad Police to leverage all available resources to bolster operations against crime, uphold law and order, and maintain a safe and peaceful environment for the community.
