Islamabad: The government has reaffirmed its decision to import 1 million tonnes of wheat in an effort to meet domestic needs and stabilize prices. This decision was revisited during a meeting of the Steering Committee on wheat-related matters held in Islamabad and chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
According to Radio Pakistan, the committee thoroughly reviewed the current availability and requirements of wheat, considering the demands from various provinces. The import aims to address domestic requirements, alleviate price pressures, and provide relief to the public.
