Deputy Speaker Extends Felicitations on 79th Anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence


ISLAMABAD: Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, expressed his felicitations to the nation on Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, emphasizing the significance of the country’s creation through the sacrifices and perseverance of its forefathers. He encouraged collective efforts toward Pakistan’s security, democratic stability, and economic development.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the Deputy Speaker highlighted the enduring influence of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal as guiding figures for the nation. He stressed the importance of adhering to their principles, which include the supremacy of the Constitution, rule of law, and protection of citizens’ rights.



The Deputy Speaker paid tribute to the founders and diverse participants in the Pakistan Movement, acknowledging the roles of women, youth, and elders. He underlined the necessity of national unity and political tolerance to address current challenges and expressed appreciation for the sacrifices of martyrs who defended the nation.



He reaffirmed Parliament’s commitment to democracy and public welfare and called for societal collaboration for Pakistan’s prosperity. Additionally, he acknowledged the struggles of Kashmir and Palestine, pledging continued support for their quests for self-determination.



In his closing remarks, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah invoked prayers for Pakistan’s peace and progress, honoring the nation’s founders and martyrs for their sacrifices.
