Islamabad, Chairman of the Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, addressed a 60-member delegation of youth representatives and tribal elders from Balochistan at the Parliament House in Islamabad. He commended the tribal elders for their role in conflict resolution through the Jirga system and recognized the potential of the youth in driving business and commercial activities in the region.
According to Senate of Pakistan, during the luncheon ceremony, Chairman Sanjrani lauded the Jirga system’s effectiveness in promptly addressing conflicts within tribal societies. The event was attended by Senators Prince Ahmed Omar Umerzai, Haji Hidayatullah Khan, Naseebullah Bazai, Dilawar Khan, Umar Farooq, and Bahramand Khan Tangi. The delegation also visited the Senate Museum, where they viewed a documentary on the history of the Upper House and received a detailed briefing in the Senate Hall. The visit was an opportunity for the delegation to gain a deeper understanding of the workings of the Senate, as evidenced by their interest in the statues and historical photographs of prominent politicians.
