SP Saddar Zone Orders Crackdown on Criminal Gangs and Enhanced Citizen Services

ISLAMABAD: Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Zone Kazim Naqvi has directed a heightened crackdown on criminal gangs and enhanced services for citizens across police stations in Islamabad, following a recent meeting with Saddar Zone officers.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting reviewed the performance of officers and examined the current law and order situation, crime prevention measures, and progress on under-investigation cases. The discussions also focused on security arrangements and the delivery of policing services to the public.

SP Naqvi instructed officers to intensify intelligence-led and targeted operations against criminal elements, with a focus on gangs involved in car and motorcycle theft, robbery, dacoity, and property crimes. He emphasized the need for the early arrest of gang members and an indiscriminate crackdown on proclaimed and habitual offenders. Officers were also tasked with expediting the arrest of absconding accused and ensuring the timely and merit-based disposal of cases.

To improve service delivery, officers were directed to adhere to the Special Initiative Police Stations (SIPS) protocol, maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards citizens, and resolve public complaints promptly. SP Naqvi underscored the importance of modern policing, effective supervision, and teamwork in crime prevention and legal enforcement.

SP Naqvi reiterated that protecting citizens’ lives and property, maintaining law and order, and enforcing the law effectively are the top priorities of the Islamabad Police. He warned that negligence, misconduct, or unprofessional behavior in security duties, operational responsibilities, or public service would not be tolerated.
