Hangu: Seven militants from the group Fitna Al Khwarij, reportedly supported by India, were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation in Hangu District.
According to Radio Pakistan, the operation involved troops effectively engaging the militants’ location. During the confrontation, the militants sought refuge in a mosque, disregarding its sanctity. The clash resulted in the death of Captain Hamza Akram, an officer who was leading the operation and is described as having fought until the end.
In addition to the fatalities, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, who were allegedly responsible for numerous attacks against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians. A sanitization operation is ongoing to address any remaining threats in the area from Indian-sponsored militants.
