Singapore: Pakistan High Commission in Singapore organized a ‘Mango Festival’ on Friday, showcasing Pakistan’s world-renowned mangoes as part of events celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Singapore. Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, attended the event as the Guest of Honour, which attracted government officials, business community members, diplomats, media representatives, and the Pakistani-Singaporean community.

According to Press Information Department, the festival featured a curated menu using Pakistan’s premium mango varieties, including Chaunsa and Sensation, allowing guests to experience the taste, aroma, and quality of Pakistani mangoes. The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Singapore, H.E. Rabia Shafiq, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the unmatched taste of Pakistani mangoes. She noted that the Pakistan High Commission organizes such events to introduce Singaporeans to Pakistan’s culture and hospitality, aiming to deepen people-to-people connections as the two countries celebrate 60 years of diplomatic ties.

A short video titled “Salam Pakistan” was screened, highlighting Pakistan’s landscapes, tourist attractions, and cultural heritage. The event included a cake-cutting ceremony and left attendees impressed by the quality of Pakistani mangoes, praising their aroma, texture, and taste.

The festival provided a platform to promote Pakistan’s agricultural exports, showcasing the country’s premium mangoes to the Singaporean market and emphasizing the potential for expanding bilateral trade. It also celebrated the partnership and friendship between Pakistan and Singapore, built over six decades of diplomatic relations.
