Prime Minister Approves New Measures to Enhance Airport Passenger Experience


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has authorized a set of initiatives aimed at improving passenger facilitation at airports, focusing on alleviating the challenges travelers face.



According to Radio Pakistan, the approval came during a review meeting held in Islamabad concerning the customs system. The prime minister has mandated the immediate deployment of smart scanners at all airports across the country. Furthermore, he instructed customs officials to minimize unnecessary questioning of passengers, in an effort to streamline the airport experience.



The prime minister also announced the introduction of an internationally recognized automated system to screen passengers’ luggage. In addition, personnel involved in other airport services will receive training to meet international standards, as part of the broader measures to enhance service quality and efficiency at airports.
