Lahore: A series of meetings led by the Punjab government with scholars from various schools of thought are being held to enhance peace and security across the province. According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, a delegation from Tehreek-e-Nifaz Fiqh Jafariya convened with Provincial Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, along with several high-ranking officials, to discuss the law and order situation.
The meeting, attended by officials including Secretary Home Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi and Special Secretary Home Faisal Farid, emphasized the critical role of scholars in establishing peace. Khawaja Salman Rafique highlighted the importance of unity among all schools of thought for the security of Pakistan, stating that their collaboration signifies a collective stand against anti-national elements.
Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi reiterated the commitment to a zero tolerance policy against sectarianism, particularly on social media, and acknowledged the cooperation received from scholars during recent religious events. The delegation from Tehreek-e-Nifaz Fiqh Jafariya pledged continued cooperation with the government to uphold peace and compliance with laws.
The meeting concluded with prayers for the security and prosperity of the nation, underscoring the shared commitment to safeguarding the interests of the country.
