Prime Minister Sharif Calls for Comprehensive Relief Efforts for Flood Victims


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif instructed the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to deploy all available resources to assist those impacted by recent floods. This directive was issued during a meeting with NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for effective coordination between the NDMA and provincial disaster management bodies to ensure timely relief efforts. He commended the implementation of artificial intelligence and modern technology at the National Emergencies Operation Centre to enhance response capabilities.



During the meeting, the NDMA Chairman provided an update on the ongoing relief initiatives and the rehabilitation measures being undertaken for flood victims. He assured the Prime Minister that with the federal government’s support, NDMA’s relief operations would persist in the flood-stricken areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
