ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has reinforced Pakistan’s dedication to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a nationwide tree plantation initiative. In a message for the ‘Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2026,’ he highlighted collaborative efforts by federal and provincial governments to enhance forest conservation, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable landscape management.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2026 has set an ambitious target of planting 20 million saplings across the country. The President urged citizens to actively participate by planting indigenous tree species and ensuring their protection and survival, aligning with the broader goal of sustainable environmental development.
