Posters in IIOJK Herald Pakistan Day with Messages of Solidarity

Srinagar, In a vivid display of solidarity, streets in Srinagar and other parts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) have been adorned with posters celebrating Pakistan Day, expressing unwavering support for the people and Government of Pakistan. This resurgence of posters coincides with the commemoration of Pakistan Day, emphasizing the deep-seated connection between Kashmiris and Pakistan.

According to Kashmir Media Service, these posters and flags, prominently displayed in areas including Srinagar, Bandipore, and Doda, have been put up by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and various Hurriyat organizations. They feature slogans such as ‘We are Pakistani, Pakistan is ours,’ and calls for India to vacate the region, alongside images of Pakistan’s founding fathers Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Liaqat Ali Khan, and the current Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir.

The messages underscore the sentiment that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan, referring to it as the nation’s “jugular vein.” They highlight the Kashmiris’ desire for freedom from Indian rule and their determination to achieve self-determination despite the ongoing military presence and oppression.

The appearance of these posters is a powerful reminder of the Kashmiris’ enduring struggle for freedom and their aspiration to merge fully with Pakistan. Political commentators view this act as a clear signal to the Indian government that its efforts to suppress the freedom movement through force and intimidation have not dampened the spirit of the Kashmiri people.

Additionally, the celebration of Pakistan Day has extended to social media, with numerous videos and posts circulating on platforms like Twitter and Facebook, extending greetings to Pakistanis on this significant day, further reinforcing the solidarity and shared aspirations of the Kashmiri people with Pakistan.
