KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has announced that the largest Eid-ul-Adha congregation in the city will take place at Gulshan-e-Jinnah, commonly known as Polo Ground, with prayers scheduled for 8:00 AM. The prayers will be led by Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Saleemi.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, spokesperson Daniyal Alishan Siyal stated that this historic gathering has been a tradition at Polo Ground since 1958. This year, comprehensive arrangements have been made to facilitate the Eid-ul-Adha prayers at the venue.

Governor Sindh Nihal Hashmi, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Municipal Commissioner Abrar Jaffer, and diplomats from Islamic countries are among the notable attendees expected at the event. Also anticipated are former and current federal and provincial ministers, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, and other prominent citizens.

On the instructions of Mayor Wahab, special arrangements for ablution facilities have been completed, along with stringent security measures. Disinfectant spraying will be conducted around the premises, and a floral gate has been erected at the main entrance. Additionally, fragrance spray will be used in and around the Eidgah before the prayers commence.
