Abu Dhabi: The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi marked Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day with a flag hoisting ceremony attended by a large number of Pakistani community members and their families. Messages from key Pakistani leaders were shared, and the national flag was raised to the sound of the anthem by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan.
According to Press Information Department, the event featured speeches by Ambassador Khan, who congratulated attendees on the occasion and praised the Pakistani community’s contributions to both the UAE and Pakistan. He acknowledged the support of the UAE government for the Pakistani community and encouraged attendees to respect local laws. Children from a local school performed patriotic songs and participated in a cake-cutting ceremony with the Ambassador.
