Pakistan to Mark Pakistan Day with National Zeal and Fervor


Islamabad, Pakistan is set to celebrate Pakistan Day tomorrow with a nationalistic spirit, commemorating the adoption of the Lahore Resolution on this day in 1940, which laid the foundation for the country’s independence. The day will be observed with various ceremonial activities aimed at reinforcing the commitment to the nation’s progress and stability.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the celebrations will commence with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in the provincial capitals. Mosques across the country will host special prayers for the nation’s prosperity, progress, and unity following the Fajr prayers. Moreover, the national flag will be hoisted on significant government buildings as a symbol of pride and patriotism.



A highlight of the day’s events is the grand military parade in Islamabad, showcasing the might and discipline of the armed forces and other security agencies. The parade will feature impressive march-pasts by contingents of the three armed forces, accompanied by aerial acrobatics by fighter jets, demonstrating the country’s defense capabilities.



In the afternoon, an investiture ceremony is scheduled to take place at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where President Arif Ali Zardari will honor distinguished personalities with awards and medals for their remarkable contributions in various fields. This gesture aims to recognize and celebrate the achievements of individuals who have excelled in their respective domains.



Additionally, Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television (PTV) will broadcast special programs dedicated to the importance of Pakistan Day. These programs will pay homage to the leaders of the Pakistan Movement and explore the historical context and significance of the Lahore Resolution, enriching the public’s understanding of this pivotal moment in the nation’s history.
