LAHORE: Pakistan is poised to reconsider its stance on importing oil from Iran following the potential lifting of United States sanctions on Tehran. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Pakistan’s Minister for National Food Security and Research, conveyed this possibility while addressing the media in Lahore, highlighting the implications for Pakistan’s economic trajectory.
According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Hussain emphasized that resolving the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran could significantly influence the region and the global economy. He projected that the repercussions of the conflict would persist for the next two years, affecting economic stability and growth.
In response to inquiries, Minister Hussain accused India of financially supporting groups like Fitna al-Khawarij, while assuring that Pakistani security forces are actively conducting operations to counter these threats.
